Pet Care In Your Home

Pet Care In Your Home is locally owned and operated in the Temecula Valley, and has provided quality, in home pet care since 1993. Additionally, I have worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 30 years with experience in both specialty and emergency medicine.  I have the pleasure of my daughter Danielle sharing in my passion and love for animals along with my vision of providing and maintaining the highest quality of pet care. Danielle joins me as co-owner of Pet Care In Your Home.
Services may include but not limited to the following:
  • Daily and overnight pet sitting.
  • Walk and playtime or vigorous exercise if requested.
  • Medical Care (per Veterinarian instruction)- Oral/injectable medication administration, prescription diets and specialty diet preparation.
  • Home Care Services- Mail, trash pick up, plant care, house light rotation.
  • Veterinary/grooming transportation available.
***Research has proven that in a pet owners absence, pets experience much less anxiety and stress when they remain in their own familiar environment.

Janet has been taking care of my dogs for over 15 years now. Both she and Danielle have extensive backgrounds in animal health, training, and grooming so I know when I am away that my dogs are getting the very best of care. They are dependable, trustworthy, kind, and thoughtful. I never worry when these two are in charge and I am so grateful to have them as a support system for our family in the care of our dogs. Janet and Danielle are the best!

No one takes care of their dogs better than yourself, with the exception of Danielle & Janet Lampe. You can literally leave for a week and come home to your dogs sleeping, the water bowls full to the brim, and not known that there was anyone in your house because it was same as you left it. During your week away you get pictures and text updates showing your dogs enjoying their vacation from YOU! All kidding aside, I highly recommend the Lampe’s as they are as professional as they come. They come into your house with a questionnaire about your day to day routine with your pets, take notes and make you feel comfortable about leaving your pets in their care.

Danielle loves my dogs and they love her. They light up when they see her. That my friends, has no price tag!

I have known Janet Lampe for over 20 years. We were close neighbors for 12 years. Janet has taken care of four dogs for us through the years. She has taken care of them as young, playful dogs and as quite old senior dogs who need special care. She is extremely knowledgeable about animals. She is also very compassionate and caring. She is thoroughly dependable and also totally trustworthy. She has stayed at our house many times to care for our dogs. I’ve always felt fortunate to know Janet and to be able to call on her to help out with our dogs.

Janet (Pet Care In Your Home) has been caring for my dogs since 2001.

We have a very large yard and it was perfect that Janet could take care of them without ever going into our house. (Although, I would trust her to do so.) Over the years, we’ve had 3-4 dogs at the same time. When utilizing Pet Care In Your Home, we provided the garage door opener where all the “dog supplies and beds” were located.

All of our dogs are “outside/inside dogs and have access to a large yard and garage. Janet would visit daily (and with Scooter, it was 2X daily).

Here’s some history of past and current dogs that Janet has interacted with:

Molly –Little Lab mix rescue that was afraid of people. She was able to overcome her fear with Janet.

Katie – Unfriendly mutt rescue; again was able to relate to Janet.

Woody – Lab/Aussie mix, loved everyone, but could be protective. No issue with Janet.

Scooter – Our beloved Healer. When Janet started caring for our dogs, Scooter was elderly and diabetic. He required an injection 2X a day and with Janet, we were SO grateful she able to provide this care for him. (It’s great that Janet is a Vet Tech!)

Bailey – Labradoodle – She’s a big love and easy.

Charlie – Lab/Aussie mix rescue (w/ maybe some Healer and/or Rottweiler)with mean-looking eyes – can be intimidating upon sight– Friendly, but can be protective. No issue with Janet.

Joe – Feisty little Jack Russell/Dachshund mix (rescue) – NOT friendly and barks constantly at people he is fearful of. Janet is able to care for him – no issues.

Pet Care In Your Home is a perfect fit for us. Janet is super knowledgeable about dogs and often very helpful with dog-related information. Our dogs are able to stay at home and together while we are gone vs. boarding them at an unfamiliar facility. We can be away from our home for weeks at a time and be assured that someone is caring for our dogs on a daily basis – feeding, checking on the dogs, giving them love, and providing crucial dog-care services (e.g., injections) as needed. It’s a perfect fit for us. I highly recommend Pet Care In Your Home (and so do my dogs)!
